I just killed an hour or so watching old clips of the show on youtube.
When I was a kid I never missed an episode.
My parents loved the music and made sure I got a good listen.

Denny Greene was a neighbor/friend of mine, along with a couple hundred others , in my 14 story "projects" building in Classon Point the Bronx. I hear he's now a professor teaching somewhere in Ohio. Not bad for a kid from the projects, him, not me:rolleyes:

"Bowser" was not an original group member

I was watching a forensics program the other night and they had one of the original members of Sha-Na-Na on it, I don't remember his name though.

Apparently he is now a forensic document examiner and handwriting expert. He said he got interested in it when he was with the band because he had to learn how to study their contracts to keep from getting ripped off.

I do remember Sha Na Na; the show was ok, although I was "fortunate" enough to have grown up in the 50's & 60's...I can remember when my best buddy and I would try and sneak in to the old Akron Armory to watch the original artists when they came to/through town on the traveling bus tours...we wern't always sucessful, but had a great time anyway.

"Grease for peace"

Sha-na-na played at my school high school dance here in Concord, CA back in '73. Good tunes at the time.

I also attended Ygnacio 73-74 (or were you at the private school?) Then they build North Gate... so I went there 75-76.
