Anyone ever tried Remington CB3322 in their 15-22? I accidentally bought two boxes of this at a gun show last weekend thinking it was OK, but now I have seen warnings about it being low velocity ammo.

This is what is used to be called .22 Shorts.

They might work in the 15-22 as a single shot rifle ... If you can get them to feed from the magazine, which is doubtful.

Or, its always fun to throw them into a camp fire.
Thats always fun when folks are not expecting it.

You are right. I was thinking of CBcaps.

If I'm on the right track. CB caps are no more than a bullet and the primer charge (with little if any powder) pushing the bullet out the barrel.
The bullet runs about neck in neck with a "daisy" pump-up BB/pellet rifle for speed.

Throwing ammo into a fire is just a waste of ammo, but no one is going to get shot despite what the movies show.

And with ammo shortages, should be punishable by itching powder in your sleeping bag or some icy hot on your gel stick deodarant! :D

I use a variety of shorts, CB's, etc in my Henry lever action .22 with scope. I have a problem with destructive squirrels and the Henry is actually quieter with CBs than my Benjamin 392 pump .22 air rifle. Packs a little more wallop too since the projectile is heavier than a pellet.
Where I live I can legally shoot but I prefer to remain in stealth mode when I can...keeps the neighbors off my back.
BTW I bought a Benjamin Nitro .22 pellet rifle for squirrel duty and that thing was way loud and inaccurate, WalMart got it back.

Just an FYI on low velocity rounds- tried some of the CCI 22 Quiet today at the range...accuracy at 75 ft was good but would not cycle the 15-22.
