Removing thread protector?

Want to remove the thread protector on my mp 22, but that sucker is on there. Before I go wrenching on it, I want to make sure it's not reversed thread or a certain procedure to do. Don't want to break or mar anything up.
Advice???

No real trick to it. Righty tighty, lefty loosie. Use the wrench supplied, and have at it. Some are on a bit tighter than other from the factory.

Bear in mind, when you shoot it, if it's not tight, it will tend to unscrew itself.
