How consistent are the factory pinned front sights drilled? Thinking I want to get a set of F/O LPA's, but think I will try a Dawson F/O sight first. In the event that I decide to go with the LPA's, would the sight fit another pinned gun correctly?

Might, but the chances are low. The hole locations vary quite a bit.
You probably won't want the LPAs after trying the Dawson. They just offer so many different choices in height and width it makes it easy to get exactly what you want. Don't be afraid to ask them questions they are usually very helpful. Good luck..
