Good for you, and you'll find that all the years you worked for less than your private sector friends will be repaid by mailbox money until you die.

Congratulations! I finished up April 1st of last year. Enjoy the time with family and a (hopefully) normal life! Personally I was bouncing off the walls pretty quickly and started another job now but everyone is different.

Congratulations on your retirement. I did 26 years and the best day after my retirement was the first morning I woke up to several inches of snow on the roads from overnight and I realized it was now someone else's problem.
