I've been a member here for a while, but I guess I got culled due to inactivity.
Anyhoo...will be purchasing a new semi-auto very soon.
I've got my choices narrowed down to a Glock23 or a M+P .40.
I'm hearing a few negatives about the M+P:
-broken trigger return springs
-improperly machined barrel that would not eject spent cartridge casings
-pistol barrel broke into two pieces just ahead of the firing chamber
-spent casings failing to extract from barrel chambers

Anyone experience these failures? I don't know if they are true or not. Has S&W fixed these supposed issues?
I like the feel of the MP better than the Glock, and I'd rather have the Smith, but not if it's gonna be a problem child.
Several active duty and Marine vets are advising me against the M+P.
An no, this is not a troll...
