I see there are a lot of pistol sight pusher/instillation tools, but I have not found any that say they will work with a revolver. Does anyone have experience with one that will work with a revolver, if so, what tool do you find best.

Very few revolvers can be adjusted with a sight tool pusher. Now that I think about it, I can’t think of one, unless they have a dovetailed front and a punch is used to adjust them. Either they have adjustable revolver sights or they are fixed. Fixed sighted Smith revolvers could be adjusted with a Babbitt, a soft lead hammer ( lack of a better term). A very old school way to sight in your revolver, that very few people have this skill set today to accomplish. I’ve used one on several occasions and it works if you know what you are doing. The last model 10, I “sighted in” for a close friend, I thought he was going to have a stroke, while I was smacking and a’ whacking. With some adjustments he was able to shoot poa/poi and cut the center out of the x ring at 7 yards. I told him there are probably just a handful of people in the state who even can comprehend what I did to his revolver and even know what a Babbitt is. He just stared at my like some “far out old man!

Today it's much easier to shoot POA than years ago. Now we have multiple bullet weights for any given caliber, which affects hitting higher or lower, depending on which way the bullet weight goes. Different brands also help with that, if needed.

If it's bent and integral with the barrel straighten it.

You might be able to tweak the barrel slightly in it's threads.

I had a ,303 Martini carbine that the barrel had been bent in bayonet practice. Straightened it with an axle bearing press. Used a string to check my work and rolled it on a table to check the outside. Shot 3 inch groups at 25 yards with the pitiful sights that came on the gun.

Had a cousin who built flintlock guns at Colonial Williamsburg the old way.

My H&K 45C shot left with fixed sights, Brass piece and a hammer tweaked it just enough in one try to get it shooting to center. Now it has a laser on it and a strobe light.

This OP makes me very Curious. What is the Revolver that you wish to use sight pusher on?
I cannot think of one. I am even more curious about beating the sights into submission on a model 10. Please, Pictures!

The new UC series J frames have a dovetail Novak style rear sight. The OP may have one.

The 640 Pro has dovetailed front and rear sights and has been around since are least 2011, and the 627 V-Comp has had a dovetail front sight for even longer.

However, neither has been common enough for there to be much interest in purpose made aftermarket tools (or non-custom sight options, for that matter). It wouldn't surprise me if S&W had an installation tool that's used at the factory, but as Sgt Buzzard said, a vise with soft lined jaws, a hammer, and punch are going to be the go-to for those models.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, I have one of the J-framed UC revolvers. I needed to move the rear sight slightly which I did using a hammer and brass punch. Moving a sight with a hammer and punch is hard to be accurate so I got thinking a sight pusher like the pistol pushers would be nice, so I asked if anyone knew of one.

Many old revolvers have sights that require a pusher tool to adjust them. Once adjusted they stay pretty much where they are put.
