Today I finally finished polishing the internals of my 4 inch 617. I took care of the hammer, trigger and rebound slide and replaced the rebound spring with an 11 pounder. Trigger pull is now a very nice 8 pounds measured with my Lyman Digital Scale.

I kept the pull at this weight and tested my normal ammo, Remington Bucket Of Bullets. I shoot these because they are very clean and I can run at least 300 rounds through the gun before I have to clean the cylinders. They've been reamed and honed and drop the ammo with the slight flick of my thumb.

One thing I don't like about the BOB is that I can hear the difference in power on many of my shots. I'm going to see how many rounds of Federal 40 grain LRN bullets from the 800 round package I can shoot and if it's better in this gun that will become my Go-To Ammo.

Along with my 4 inch I brought my 6 inch that I set up with a RevUp Action Hammer Kit. I really like this setup. The gun is set to ignite CCI Mini Mags and Clean's so the trigger pull is a little higher, measureing just over 10 pounds with my Lyman scale.

Trigger is soft and smooth and feels just as good as the 4 inch counterpart.

I was able to keep all rounds inside the 10 ring of my Bianchi Target at 25 yards which made me happy. I used my DS-10 speed loaders to empty my loading blocks and feed both of my guns, allowing me to spend more time shooting than reloading. DS-10s are the best speed loaders out there.

I went through a combination of 260 rounds in about 40 minutes and the only thing that slowed me down was checking and adjusting the sights on both guns.

My 6 inch is fitted with Thai grips that I'm starting to like. I ordered another set so that both guns will fell as close to the same as possible.

How did the rest of the revolver look like cylinder gap and forcing cone and so on ? These smiths have some really good triggers in them with just a little effort they are as good as it gets !

Can't tell the cylinder gaps, I forget what they are and haven't measured in a long time but they are good. Forcing cones have both been cut to 11 degrees. I did all the work my self. Just a hobbyest but enjoy working on them.
