Just ran a dealer exchange from Magic City Ford to Richmond Ford. When we walked into Richmond store all the cars on the showroom were up toward the inside counter.

We asked what happened.

Apparently during an evening (dont know when but recently) someone drove by and took 1 shot. Large concentrated fracture in a top corner of the glass. A window about 10 feet by 10 feet was completely shattered but still in place.

Yes, I was carrying. Never liked Richmond. We never carry cash but once had a check for $62,000.00 for a Mustang.

Richmond's violent crime rate from 2000 to now has consistently been at least 50% higher than the national average, if not twice as high. Like most urban areas, not a very safe place to be after dark.

Every week I get a VCU 'crime on campus report' email. Always assaults, robberies, armed robberies or all of the above. It really ticks me off that VCU won't let students carry.

You never have to watch the news to know what happened in Richmond, Va. last night. It’s the same thing that happens there every night. If the bad guys can think of it, it happens. We ran convenience stores in south Richmond for years. Left work one day and never went back. Live in the country now and I double dog dare one of those fouls to show up here. Everyone in this neighborhood has guns. I had to laugh a few years ago when they said murder was down 50%. Only 63 people were murdered in the streets that year instead of the usual 126. Yes I carry. Hopefully I won’t be run over by a logging truck.
