Very sad. I have worked with Ron and Randall off and on for many years. They're the kind of people you want for friends. Ron was easy going and relaxed to visit with, but under the good ol' boy exterior he was one of the smartest people I ever knew. He will be greatly missed. Best wishes to all the family.
That is sad to hear. He was a great guy and excellent pistolsmith. His tools are top notch.
He did an action job and some other work on my Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt/.45acp several years ago. Still works perfectly.
He built a #5 on a FT 44 Special for me. It was the first one done with his grip frame. I am fortunate to own that gun, but more so to have been able to call him a friend. He took my 4" M29-2 to one of his classes. He wanted one to use for teaching purposes and as a result I got a few "tweaks" making a good gun better.
