The Director, "The Bucket List", "Stand By Me"

If you were a kid in the 50's, a young man/young woman in the 60's, you will fall in love with this movie, I did.

No violence, language etc.

If you get a chance to watch this movie, your a baby boomer, you will love the music and most of all the story.

Yeah, Jr. is the worst. He reminds me of vomit on the floor.

A movie that probably many of us Baby Boomers could relate to. The music really adds to it as well.

I used to watch "The Wonder Years" on TV. The trailer for this film reminds me a bit of that series.

I haven't had any use for meathead since the hatchet job he did on the Navy and Marine Corps in "A Few Good Men". Strictly a lefty louie.

I oppose Reiner's political agenda about like Archie did, but I do believe I'd like that movie.
"Stand By Me" is a classic. If you'd like to see a couple more in the same vein, I'd suggest "Sandlot" and "Eddie and the Cruisers".

Looks good - thanks for the heads up.

Rob Reiner has turned out some great movies - the ones already mentioned, plus my favorite, The Princess Bride.

He also was responsible for one of history's all time worst - "North". I won't let that or his goofy politics keep me from a good movie.

The intent of the thread was about a great movie, not politics.

I'm sure if you watch this, and grew up in that time period, you will relate to every character. Your family, friends, schoolmates and neighbors will be well represented. It was such a great time in America.
