Robert Redford has passed on

Actually Clint Eastwood said that in "Unforgiven", not Robert Redford.

Redford made a lot of great movies in his time, he will be remembered.

Just read this news. Father of independent film and a good guy.
"You think not getting caught in a lie is the same thing as telling the truth?"
Later Mr. Redford.

A Walk in the Woods was a great one, even though Nick Nolte stole the show. RIP Bob.

Newman and Redford are 2 that I would have like to share a bottle of good bourbon with when they were younger. Would have been a great conversation.

Sad day! I enjoyed his movies. I wonder how that will effect the series Dark Winds, that he co-produced? I hope that it continues. My Wife, and I enjoy the show.

Don't know why, but this image is what I think of when I hear Redford's name. It's from A Bridge Too Far and the Americans are trying to cross a river in boats that didn't have oars or paddles, so the troops used their rifles as paddles.

Besides "War Hunt" a very low budget early film he also played a kindly angel of death on a "Twilight Zone"

J Johnson, 3 Days of the Condor, and a bunch of other great movies, but the thing I will always remember is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, is the last movie I ever went to with my Dad and Mom. Used to go regularly, but I got too grown-up.

I liked " Out of Africa" the story his friend told, about a fellow borrowing a book from Redfords character and not returning it. I asked Dennis you wouldn't lose a friend over a book would you. Reply "No, but he has!" I often feel that way about borrowed gun items..
