Franzite clone. I bought the originals off ebay in search of a thin styled grips that suited me. First off i noticed poor fillout in the molded plastic, sharp edges, and lack of quality control we have become accustomed to in this "Day and Age". But what I saw was a diamond in the rough. The original design was excellent, with my eyes closed I held the model 24 outstretched to simulate firing the action. First I noticed the grips afforded a high hand hold that i was not used to but the lack of palmswell compliments this style very well. I am guessing that these were designed with bullseye shooting in mind. Being a grip maker, stocksmith, or whatever you call it, I felt I had to do this design justice. Here are the pictures-

I am back to making grips, and what i want to know is ... what do you want? ven if its combining aspects of different types of grips. Also frame size, style, kind of wood, etc. Does anybody have a set of sythetic/ plastic grips that they want done in nice wood?

Lately i have been working on this roundbutt design

Yes Sir....I DO have an idea I'd like to see done. My Favorite grip of all time is the Pachmayr ComPac Presentation Pro for RB S&W K Frames. There are about a million of those guns out there so there's a market. What I'd like is Fancy Wood versions of that Grip. Smooth, Checkered, doesn't matter....Don't lengthen them, widen them, or anything else.....That's what I'd like.....

I SECOND THAT IDEA. S&W K FRAME ROUND BUTT COMPACTS IN DIFFERENT WOODS. I'D BE FIRST IN LINE FOR A PAIR OR TWO.

I want a grip for the K and N frames similar to ones made by Deacon Deason of Bear Hug grips. They would be fully inletted on the inside but left semi-finished on the outside to allow for custom smoothing and shaping as well as staining and finishing. Could be offered in several different woods including walnut running fron grade A regular to grade AAA+ fancy. Having to be finished on the outside could bring the price down to a reasonable level.

Hey.. I have just edited my post to include pics of what i have been working on lately. I think we are on the same page... these are modeled after those.. I have done N frame and j-frame...but with all those nice 66"s and 19 RB's out there, it looks like maybe i should do K-frame.

I want N frame square butt targets made of hard maple and cherry laminated and edge glued. I used to make custom countertops from hard maple and red oak edge glued and then planed.

N frame squarebutt target style but slimmer and not as much wood hanging below the bottom of the grip with no checkering and in Maple.

In fact the style I have in mind is made be Kim Ahrends but I don't like how much wood hangs below the grip frame for his retro target grip.

RAIDER... That could be done...I am mostly stocked in those grades of walnut. What would you pay for Average grade curly walnut roughed out and sanded with 80 grit?

I haven't been able to find good looking square butt j frame grips. Plenty of round butt. Do you have pics and prices of grips round or square butt, that are ready to go. We can start your funding for your new stuff. I like exotic woods with lots of grain. The grips that are pictured are great looking.

I need boot grips for a Ruger Alaskan. They need to be as short as possible while supporting all fingers. No finger grooves. Relieved for speedloaders. They should also be rounded on the back like Jordan Troopers.

I have 4 sets of n- square listed in the " accessories for sale" section. I don't have any j frame available right now. The ones pictured are already sold. I am trying to figure out what to work on nexxt.

I don't know about j frame square butt. Its kind of rare to see one... I don't know of if there's enough interest to make a inletting template for them or finding a gun to do final fitting.
unless you mean round to square conversion for J-frame?
