Can anyone give me a rough idea on the delivery date/year for a 4" 28-2 serial #N574917?

As Truckman says: somewhere between 1978-1980 (probably late 1979 or early 1980). The SCSW 4th Ed. says that most of the N500000 range of revolvers consisted of Model 28s and Model 58s.
