If you end up putting so many rounds through yours that you're needing a replacement recoil spring, I'm sure S&W Service could fix you up. ;)

So far, only about 1.5K through mine.

Over 3,000 but haven't kept track lately. I slowed down once I got my M&P22 and FS 9. Now I just shoot a few rounds when I go to the range each week just to keep my skill up with it.

Thanks to all replies. I'm up to approx. 500 rnds. no issues, excellent pistol.
I'm curious if anything has come up to the owners who have high round counts (2k an so on)
I feel more maintenance is required for sub-compacts than full-size guns. Thats why the recoil spring question. I monitor ejection closely and like to replce springs in a timely manner.

You don't even have it broke in yet :o Those S&W M&P's (unlike some other brands) are tough little cookies and built just like their big brothers. Good idea to keep an eye on things though. S does happen. I've had zero issues with anything and don't expect any.

Yup, over 2K in my 9 as well and no FTF or ejection issues.
I do have paint coming out of the right dot on my rear sight though. I think I'm going to use hi-viz green to refill it. Saving for trits.;)

Lots of rounds going down the pipe on this thread....shoot em up boys.

I use to shoot 50 rounds a week and cut down to 6 magazines each week to keep up my proficiency since my Shield 40 is my CCW, but I had to make time to shoot 100 to 200 rounds a week with my new PLR-22 which isn't great for CCW but it does fulfill my Star Wars fantasy of shooting a blaster rifle, and 22lr is so cheap.

I think my shield has around 600 or 700 rounds through it by now and still love it.
