Been hitting the hockshops lately on the lookout for a 3-screw .41 Blackhawk. Figured I'd have no luck, but the hunt is half the fun for me. Saw a bunch of junk and went on home unsatisfied.

Poked around online and found my non Smith & Wesson kryptonite being 3-screw flattop Blackhawks. Priced way too cheap so I had to call. Mostly a black rifle kinda place. How's the lockup/timing, original or transfer bar converted, etc? "It's in pretty good shape for its age" was all he could say.

Took a chance and bought it. Four days later my dealer calls letting me know my Single Six is in. Whaa? Called the seller and received profuse apologies as the wrong revolver was shipped. It was an honest mistake. Seller says he will send me a label and pay my dealer for his hassle to return it. I casually ask what he's got to have for the Six. "Let me off the hook for the return hassle, and I'd do $250 and send you the magnum cylinder along with the Blackhawk I should have shipped." Oh my...

I accepted his terms. :D

Oh, and the flattop turned out 100% original unconverted.

It's a 357 - I should have mentioned that. Ruger didn't make any .41 flattops until the New Model era with a distributor exclusive for Williams Shooters Supply.
