Mix-Mox, Neither Are a Pox
These are both high volume, consumer goods (fire arms) manufacturers. Neither company competes strategically with 1st time quality, all the time. They apparently have found it more expedient to provide decent customer support to deal with the defects requiring redress from the customer base.
I find the S&W perhaps a little more attractive but do like the bulldog, brutishness of the Rugers. It's mostly what floats your boat. However, there's a constant theme running through the comparison of the two makers and that's the triggers on S&W wheel guns are better. Of course, Ruger's claim in the weaposhpere is they are stronger built. YMMV!
