Ruger’s Nifty LCP

My EDC is a full sized M&P9.

When I can't carry that, i carry P365.

When I'm on the bike, I throw the LCP in the bike Jersey back pocket.

Got mine in 2010 and it was my only carry gun for 8 years when I switched to a Shield9.

Still carry it daily around the house.

ziggidy: There is a post on this forum about the "EZ 9mm FTF" issue that you might find interesting. Do a search above or I found it on Google.
Long story short was he polished the feed ramp and found that when pushing a round out of the mag by hand he felt the underside of the mag lips were rough (bullet was not sliding out smoothly). He polished them and problem solved. He was experiencing almost every other round was a FTF.
Ive had a few S&W mags that had extra plastic on the mag followers that needed trimmed or polished and needed the inside of the mags lubed and then wiped out because they were so rough the follower dragged. Might give it a look.
I have a 9EZ and love it.

I have always avoided Ruger products whenever I could. (I made the mistake of selling my LCP to buy a Bodyguard .380 when they started to appear.) However, both the Ruger company and S&W have changed over the years, and nowadays I am less likely to hold Ruger's previous policy-crimes against them. :D And given how absolutely awful my experiences have been with the S&W Bodyguard .380, I think one of my to-do things for 2021 will be to liquidate the two Bodyguards that just lie around here (they are basically useless) and buy an LCP. I would never, in my wildest dreams, have thought S&W would offer such a pathetic product when everyone else, notably including Kahr, Ruger, Keltec, etc., seem to be able to make their mini-.380s work just fine. I need to get on this.

I've been carrying a Ruger LCP 10th Anniversary Edition since last Summer. I carry it with me practically everywhere I go because it's just so light and easy to conceal.

The 10th Anniversary (that model comes with stainless rod and heavier spring) LCP is my everyday unless activities require the comfort of my 365. With the long DAO feel very comfortable carrying it AIWB in a soft holster - very fast to deploy, and surprisingly accurate, has run flawless. The Hogue pinned grip sleeve is a difference maker.

I believe that you have the 10th Anniversary Edition confused with the LCP Custom. The two are similar in the way that they both share a skeletonized aluminium trigger, but they differ in the way that the LCP Custom has a high polished blued slide, high profile glow sights, and a stainless steel guide rod.

The guide rod on the 10th Anniversary Edition is an ordinary blued guiderod, only the slide is Stainless Steel, and I don't know anything about the recoil spring being any heavier on the 10th Anniversary Edition either.

My wife and I each have a Gen 1. Hers is purple, I think Ruger calls it Raspberry. Kay on went back for recall. A lot of rounds thru each and no problem.

I've just had my second range outing with the .22LR version. It's an absolute sweetie to shoot, and the danged thing is head-shot capable at 20yds with the right hi-vel ammo! Of course, guess which flavor of .22 is in short-supply right now?
