Ruined Model 14, and To What Purpose?

I'm surprised at all of you. That poor gun still has a useful purpose- As a suppository for the dealer selling it, to be inserted far enough that it come out of his mouth to be recycled into the person consigning it. (If a consigner actually exists.) And then into the person who did the butchery on it. Preferably with razor blades attached, so that they can feel what that poor model 14 felt. -Ed.
P.S. Please forgive me for being so graphic, but that just plain makes me both sick and angry.

No way that gun is worth $50, unless you're guaranteed that a turn-in program will take it for $75. I've bought clean, functional guns THIS DECADE for $50, including an M&P without a blown-out chamber. I think that this guy is just doing his version of the .45ACP cartridge auction, with the only difference being that he's (apparently) not a member of this forum. No fraud here - he IS showing photos.

Danger Danger Will Smith

No dealer should associate himself with such a beast, unless to do society a favor by properly disposing of it.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone took a drill to it,trying to make it a magnum,at the same time they took a file to the barrel, trying to add a muzzle brake.

Hmmm...must have taken a peek at the Smith & Wesson forum.

"This auction will run for 1 more week. At which time it will be parted out. If any of you would like to, go to numrich gun parts and price all the useable parts. It will total far more than the 300 I am asking for the complete gun."

Yeah, but most folks don't acquire guns by purchasing and assembling a complete set of parts from Numrich at their catalog prices. Neither does Numrich value parts guns so highly when they buy them.

I hate to admit this but in a face to face sale I'd strongly consider this revolver if it had a $100 price tag. Though I'd sure try to get the selling price closer to $80. In my parts bin I have a spare cylinder/crane assembly and a spare barrel. To me it would be worth the entertainment factor to try and get her functioning again.

That's great Bob! It's nice to know you get your eggs at the same place I have my guns repaired.

And Your Mower Repaired Too!! + Eggs..
WOW What a place!!
I bet they even sell whiskey by the shot while you wait for your firearm service..

If anyone here buys that Rubbish M14, Pease don't make use of that 6th cylinder hole, Otherwise the gun is well not so perfect..
I'd give $50 for a parts gun if I needed a sight. grip, hammer etc..
If someone does buy it for Gulp $300 they should be scurged right along with the "Master Gunsmith" who did the work on it..

With that logic,I have an old high mileage car I'd like to sell to him.
....Perhaps he should go to Numrich-I figure they "might" pay $25 for such a treasure trove of parts.

"...A quick check shows he has a Model 28 with a chunk right out of the sight plane just behind the front sight,{See Picture # 4 They are K-Frame Grip's} along with a Gap between the grips you could Park your Car in, Yet he makes no mention of either issue, Other than it is Nice and has Minor handling Issues. These gun's appear to be Throw down guns bought at in an alley Way at best. and this Guy has an FFL doing Business this way ?. Hammerdown

Yes, but let's not forget that the blueing is "cery nice".
