My daughter and great granddaughter came down from Spokane for a visit over Labor Day. I got out my Chipmunk youth rifle and to my horror found rust on the bolt. There was no pitting, just discoloration. However there is discoloration in the knurling of the cocking piece.
How on earth can I clean this up? The knurling is very fine and I see no way to get it clean without damaging the knurling.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Maybe I should just dip the cocking piece in cold blue?
Thanks much.
Paul
