Anyone remember these? I loaded 400 rounds of 38 Special today with the last quantity I had. These have been sitting in my cabinet for years. The blue flats with 100 primers per flat. 1970's vintage? I shot 50 of them and all went bang. Just wondering.

Nice to hear that you had 100% of your loads fire, with some older materials.

I like to use up the old stuff and I am getting ready to fire some "Grey" lead bullets, down range, soon, with some "Dark" brass cases !

Old is good,
but being "Navy" , I sort of like things, spick & span.

It didn't happen without a good photo so here are mine from April 1974. These came with a 222 SAKO I bought just before I came home from a tour in Germany.

I never bought or used those primers. I have used older primers before, like the ones that used to come in wooden trays, and never had an ignition problem. The 70s didn't used to sound old until you realize that is 50 years ago!

I have some Western SPP from circa 1946. Packaging and primers still look new. I am confident they'll all go bang. During the pandemic, it was interesting to see many doing a little profit taking, by selling old ammo and components at shows and or to their LGS.
