S&W 1076 FBI Package Value

Double checked on the serial # again with Joe at S&W. He said it was definitely an FBI 1076 made in May of 1990.

So does it start with TEU? Does it have a serial number under TEU 0350 or so? Like I said, there are guys here that know more than "Joe" at S&W, about this particular pistol.

Or just sell it to the guy in Texas and maybe never find out anything more regarding this gun. And do yourself a favor and review this thread here:

Thanks for the info Daniel. It starts with TFP and after what I have found out about it from S&W I think I will just put it in the back of the safe for the nephew. Thanks to everyone who helped me with it I appreciate it very much...Bryan

Mine also starts with TFP

Very nice looking 1076 makes me want another one. I have never had any interest in S&Ws until this one was left to me. But now since just reading on the forums makes me want to get into the S&W 10s. Would like to find a 1046 some eventually but I know those are very rare. I think they only made 151 of those.

As the ancient knight said to Indiana Jones in the temple..."you have chosen wisely" :).

I would have to agree. I think you should go ahead and letter it to make it complete. And hey, maybe the letter will tell you more than just that it was originally shipped to the FBI academy. Not sure one has ever lettered to an individual specifically named but it could happen.

The only thing I could think of is if it belonged to a notorious or well known special agent?

I have a 1076. great guns although the 10mm is a canon of a round.

I had a Colt Delta Elite and it was very finicky about what it ate. Got a Kimber Stainless Target 11 in 10mm and after 2000 rounds its never failed to eat anything you put in it.
