S&W 21 - 64 Holster

I just received this like new Holster from the E auction site. It is a S&W logoed holster model 21 - 64. My 4” 64 just barely fits into it, but it does snap. My question to the more experienced is this: will the holster loosen up a bit with use or do I need to use some kind of leather treatment on it? I certainly don’t want it to soften but it basically takes two hands and a cuss word or two to get the gun holstered and snapped as it is now. Thanks.

21 was the style of the holster and 64 is for j-frame 4" barrel I believe. I have a 21-63 and that fits my m-63-5 3" j-frame . I don't think you'll be able to stretch it out. M-64 is k-frame

Here’s the chart - its for a J frame but I bet if you horse it in there and leave it snapped for a while it will loosen up enough to be usabe.

Well, it looks like I have a nice J-frame holster. I guess a model 34 is in my future. Lemonade
