S&W 29-4 3in Un-Fluted Value?

It sure wouldn't hurt for the op to email Lew Horton to see if it's one of theirs. In the SCSW there was no mention of a 3" barrel Classic Hunter. Although, as thorough as the SCSW is, there are a few things missed. We are talking about S&W!! :D:confused:

I tried that about 8 years ago about my 3"610 and I'm still waiting for an answer. Later I emailed S&W about something unrelated and as a side note to the answer he mentioned he noticed by the serial# it is a Lew Horton.

I've emailed a few requests to Earl at Lew Horton. He usually replies within 24 hrs. I'd give it another try.

Here's the original profile sheet....

It's original and the pachs belong there. I'd say 1100-ish. What are you planning to do with it? Keep or sell?

I already got my answer from SW. The inquiry probably got lost somehow, but I'll keep it it mind if I write them again. That 3"610 is the only LH gun I have. Sweet piece.

Earl will send you a letter you can print if you wish. It's good documentation for a sweet piece.

Just stumbled onto this thread. I've had one LNIB for a number of years that I got as part of a tree gun trade. It's been languishing in the back of the gun safe. So I dug it out. It's truly a beautiful gun. S/N is BDYxxxx.
I checked GB recent sales. One sold the end of February on a no reserve sale for $1725! Maybe an anomaly. I guess a gun is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I guess I'll be keeping mine.
