I dont have a dog in this hunt, other than the fact that I bought one...Clyde's Armory in Athens GA had S&W 3000 police trade ins for $168. Cant beat that!. Some with rifle sights, some with folding stocks, most just plain jane. Pics up later....

Barrels for 3000
Is there a source for barrels for the 3000? I have the short barrel with bead sight. I'd like to find a rifle sight barrel for it.

I've had good luck finding barrels from Broome Firearms and Corson Barrels. I don't have the contact info right now but they advertise in Gunlist. Of course there's always Google.

I have one I bought back in 2001 for $100. Its a decent shotgun, basically a 870 knock off made in Japan.
