s&w 3913

Quite the contrary. They were (and still are) extraordinarily popular. Many believe the 3913 is the gold standard in carry pistols. You don't see many on the market because it is not one people let go of. I hunted for a 3913 for a good number of months and ended up finding a 908 which is the "value" version of the 3913. Love my 908 just as much folks love their 3913. Keep looking, you'll find one or the other.

Yup, the issue is that folks who own them don't sell them very often, they are "keepers".

Check Gunbroker, There are 3 listed right now. I bought one last week for $400 and it looks like new. Came with 3 SW mags. There are some Lady Smiths that bring stupid money, but like they say, they are the gold standard of CCW. When I had mine shipped into my local LEO gun shop they went nuts when they say it. They are all Glock folks and fell in love with it.

Here's my 3913 that I got off of Gunbroker. Very nice pistol. I have it for the few times when I could carry in neighboring states. I live in the People's Republic of Maryland. I hope to move to Pa. in the next few years.

Keep searching, the 3913 is worth it.

Probably the finest concealeable single stack 9mm made by anyone. I'll never part with mine. Regards 18DAI.

It takes a while to find one, as said earlier they are keepers. I know I wouldn't sell mine.

chiming in......I just got my second 3913 off of GB for four bills, in the original box with both mags and exceptionally clean, I mean ....pristine! my first was a little cheaper several months ago, no box but just as nice. The guys at the FFL shop were drooling. definitely keepers when you can find one. stick with GB or try one of the S&W forums, you may get lucky.

Look also for 3914s. Same fabulous gun, different look. They will rust when carried in hot weather. I bought a 3914 that was well scratched up and dura-coated it. Now it stays looking good and I rotate it with my 3913 for daily wear.

You aren't kidding about the labysmith and nologo variants commanding a premium. When I bought my 3913NL after looking for 6 months I ended up paying just north of 700 USD for it, LNIB with 2 holsters, and several mags. I then 300 bucks worth of gunsmith work done to it, not that it needed it it was just personal preference. When you find a 3913 you like, you will see why they dont come up for sale very often. People that own them, for the most part do not want to get rid of te=hem.

I guess I got lucky. Just bought a brand new 3913TSW today at a local gun shop.

I happened into a 3914 at my local gun store. Still keeping my eye open for the 3913 but the 14 will tide me over for awhile.

I went into a local pawn shop today and surprisingly saw a 3913, but it had a highly brushed bright stainless or chrome finish on it. I did not pull it out to examine it closely, and wasn't sure if it was a factory finish on it. It had a price tag of $499 on it and it looked great, but the bright finish gave it a little too much bling.

Mine is a 3914, and it is going nowhere. This series seems to be the quintessential 9mm carry gun, at least for single stack mag folks.

Stopped by my local shop today, he has two 3913 Lady Smiths in the case. Priced at $450 and $520, the higher priced one has the zippered monogrammed carry case. They were tempting, but I like my straight 3913 with ambi safety. Being left handed its more convienent to have the ambi.

I picked up a 3914 when they first came out. Excellent pistol, then a few years ago, I found the 3953 which is the DAO version available from an ex-LEO who only fired it for qualification. Now I have two, which do I carry first? Dave_n

Had a 3913 and like a fool I sold it. One of the best 9mm I have ever shot.

I got a 3913 Lady Smith for a very good price because a previous owner had Scotch Brite-ed off the Lady Smith logo on the right side of the slide. Not having any gender issues, I jumped on the deal. I didn't fully appreciate what I had until I put a mag through it when I got home. It was by accident that I came across it in the first place. will never let it go. Keep looking and grab one if you can. Absolutely the best weapon I have owned.
