S&W 544 with 2 Changes

I wish Smith would bring back the Model 544, Texas Sesquicentennial, in 44-40 with 2 changes:

1. It needs a 4" barrel instead of a 5", and
2. That abomination of a wagon on the right side has to go. It looks like the southbound end of a northbound husky.

I've thought about buying a 544 and installing a 44 Special barrel. I had a nice 544 6 or 7 years ago and should not have sold it.

A 4" 44 special barrel, a model 28, a 44-40 reamer and a gun smith.

I had one many years ago and sold it. Recently bought another one. Personally I like the 5" barrel on N frames. The logo on the side plate doesn't bother me either. To each his own.

544 ? I definitely would still want the 5" barrel and chambered in 44-40 (40WCF) with the current logo on the side . It's not just for decoration as it stands for something mighty important , at least here in Tx . Regards Paul
