I am the proud owner of a S&W 627 and I want to use this with a red dot for NRA bullseye competition. Any advice or comments would be very welcomed. Thank you.

I used both a 627 and 686 for Bullseye. I found a old set of Jay Scott grips, heavy thumbrest and palm swell worked well for me. Herrett's, Hogue and Nill all make nice target grips. The 148gr HBWC in special cases seems to be the best for light loads, does require a little extra elbow grease to keep clean. A special chamber brush is good to have to keep the cylinder clean if you plan on shooting magnums out of it also.

Welcome from Texas coronaboy. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Just remember, the long part with the hole in the end goes TOWARD the target.:D
