S&W 669 Question

I do not know the answer to your question but was wondering if you were aware that partially pulling the trigger puts the hammer in a half cocked position therefore making it very easy to fully cock the trigger from there.

S&W 669 question

As stated above the answer is yes. I have spurred hammers in my 3913,669, and 6906. They all work fine

Good! I hate double action first pull! With one in the tube and de-cocked cocking the hammer is just second nature to me. I shoot Single Action Pistols in Cowboy Shooting and it's just what I'm used to.

I have not seen a double action only 6906...both of mine are DA/SA. meaning that the first round fired is double action by having the trigger activate the hammer all of the way back and then allow the hammer to fall. The second round is single action because the slide has been cycled from the first round being fired.

The 6906 is a fabulous handgun in ALL regards! Be not afraid of it at all. It also has a lifetime warranty as well.

S&W 669 question

I have never heard of a double action only 6609. Someone has given you bad information. I have traded in these pistols quite a bit and never seen one that was double action only. By the way, these are great pistols, one that is worth having.

6906 Hammer

I have a 6906 with the factory semi bobbed hammer. I few years ago, I picked up a new fully spurred hammer for it. Any tips or instructions out there on how to go about changing out the hammer?
