I just bought this mint revolver in mid-January: no box, no paperwork, no moon clips. S&W doesn't have them, neither does TK Custom, Midway, or Brownell's. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

38 Super Moon Clips

TKS moon clips for 9mm do not fit! 38 Supers drop right out!

I am looking for S&W part number 19285000. Thank you.

TK made them in the past. Maybe give them a call.

It looks like 986 moonclips for a 9mm, fit 38 supers. I don't know where I heard that you can shoot 38 supers that way, but if you want to try 986 moonclips, they hold very tightly.

It being a 7 shot L frame should have the same centers.

Congratulations on a great gun, I have had one since they came out. I used mine for several years in IDPA until they made it illegal. I have over 200 moonclips for mine and they all came from Tom at TK Customs. He made two type’s, one you didn’t need a tool to put the rounds in the clip and one you did. I would think if you called him he should be able to still produce them.

They are available on Ebay but be aware that the 19285000 part number has more than one supplier to S&W (I found this out the hard way) and ALL WILL fit AFTER you remove metal from the ends of the "fingers" on the clip.

PS. I Emailed TK and never got a reply, I suspect they're not interested in the super because their web site does not list them.

Greatest IDPA revolver for a while. I shot mine with minor loads when I could and then found a major load until the 38 Super wasn't allowed to shoot any more. I still have some major ammo loaded up.

Gosh I'd never heard of this one?!?!

Now I'm hoping someday to see a .45acp 5-shot with moon clips? :)

Not sure if the cylinder would quite accept bores of that size though.

The .44 Special L frame is what I want to find next.
