Escaping CA to OR - soon!
Apologies for the quick "hit & run" request, but am out of state and have a chance to buy a nickel Model 19-3 ANIB so long as it's C&R eligible. It's in the grey box with paperwork, 2 1/2" version.

Serial number 5K93342 which if another thread is right on puts it at 1974 - yes?

Many thanks, and I hope to be several hundred $$$ poorer later today. ;)

I could very well be wrong but, 1974
Only reason I tried to answer that was because I was just trying to date my dad's ppc gun ( a 19-3 ) K898278 which was 1969 if not mistaken

When did the box colors change? I also have a M19-3, also dates to 1974 (7K121xx) and have the original box, but my box is blue. Is there a difference between the 2-1/2" RB and a 4" 3T (mine)?

Thanks all - if the gun is there and they are OK with the info, will post a few photos. I buy there often so it should be good.

I may have to part with an old model Bearcat. Have two of them, one a 4 digit early and a later made but with the box and paperwork.

I'm debating between a BK grip adapter or a set of factory banana grips. In addition to filling the gap the factory banana types extend below the grip frame and the extra 1/2' or so helps.

The gun has a target hammer and grooved target trigger, neither of which is noted on the end label. No red insert up front and no white outline on the rear sight. A bit different I suppose. Grip medallion discs are black, don't know if that's correct for 1974.

What I found interesting is that the "in store" price was $125.00 less than the starting price on GB.

Getting it from the store direct, not shipping it to CA (ship cost, sales and excise + transfer) saved another $200.00 or so. So I guess I keep my Bearcat. ;0
