S&W 940

S&W 9mm moon clips for the original 940 will not work with TK Custom's conversions, but their proprietary clips will work with both. My guess is that the new S&W clips will go either way, based on the apparent recess the new 940s have. We'll have to see.

I'm curious to know if this new model will have a barrel specific to 9mm and measuring .355, or if they are going to share the .357 bore?

The SAAMI standards for 38 Special, 357 Magnum, and 9mm Luger all are for a 0.355 inch (9.02mm) bore diameter.
Thanks, I didn't know that.
Previous experience with a Performance Center revolver in .38 super displayed terrible accuracy. I blamed it on the "oversized bore". Whatever the reason, I dumped the gun.
I've got the new 940 headed my way. I'll be the guinea pig.

Took my 940-3 to the range. Only had time for a few rounds downrange. Had mixed results.
Pros:
Good accuracy-great sights
VZ grips-solid connection
Smooth action
Cons:
Some light strikes with factory ammo
Very sticky extraction with my reloads

Should mention that factory ammo extracted with no issues…
