They are good enough that those that have them are NOT letting go....

The answer is simple. The CS9 was one of the most overlooked pistols out there. When I got mine off it went for DAO conversion and trigger work by S+W,Trijicon Night Sights, and Custom Delrin Grips. It is the ideal carry 9mm that isn't Tactical Tupperware and people don't want to part with them.....God Bless.....Mike

hawkeye i just this week bought on GB a cs9,black finish,1 mag for $325.as i write this 2/27/11 7:30 est there is a stainless cs9 in very good shape on GB opening bid $425.........nice pistol!

I thought there was one in Rusk Texas available that I thought about bidding on, but then found my 3913 and have to wait till next funds influx. It's already completed?

Now the CS-9 is next on my list along with the 5903-SSV.
good luck,

they do seem in short supply at the moment but keep your eyes open, ck all your local gunshops and gun shows, make the rounds daily of the numerous websites selling guns (including the S&W Forum guns for sale or trade section). If you are patient, persistent and maybe a little lucky, you'll find one sooner or later. Also don't dismiss out of hand the fine S&W 3913, a near clone that seems a little more available. I purchased thru this forum within the last year or so both a CS9 and CS40, separately from 2 guys who felt after owning them they just weren't the perfect gun for them. I'm more than pleased with them as well as the CS45 I own. Good luck.

The 3913tsw (pre-rail) is a great balance between the CS9 and the standard 3913. The TSW has a shorter grip and uses CS9 magazines while keeping the longer 3913 barrel.

This. It took me a few months to find a single stack non-TSW 4013. Keep looking and don't settle for less, you'll find one eventually.

I bought my NIB CS-45 from a guy in Oregon he still has a NIB CS-9 and a CS-40. These are unfired from a private collector who passed away. He had over 750 guns.

My CS-45 was exactly as described, brand new unfired made in 1999 just went to the range and ran 200 rounds through her with not a single issue.

PM me if you want the web link since i cant post it here.

Both are $ 599, Gunbook value is $ 660
