Hello all, recently ive noticed a couple triple locks for auction on Gunbroker that were missing the ejector rod knob. Is that part availiable? Is it the same as the later 2od and 3rd model knob? Thanks!

It is unique to the Triple Lock. It screws onto the ejector rod.

The 2nd and 3rd model extractor rod knobs are one piece with the rods. If you can’t find the TL knob, you could more easily have one made (cut off and threaded) from a 2nd or 3rd model rod which would be much easier to find.

There is more to it than that. The checkering on the TL knob is longer, and the areas behind and in front of the checkering on the later knob are reduced in diameter. The front end of the TL knob is domed, not flat like the later knob.
In short, an exact duplicate of a TL knob cannot be made from a later barrel knob.

Lee,
That’s all true of course. It’s just a matter of how much one can afford, the condition/collectibility of the gun, and if one is trying to find a temporary fix to get the gun functional while searching for the exact right part.
