Hello everyone,
I have put more (CCI Mini Mag) rounds through the S/W 22LR COMPACT than I can recall, without any issues whatsoever, and while this is a highly debatable topic, because of personal experience, I believe it is the most reliable 22LR semiautomatic pistol on the market.

But I am wondering, even though the Full Size version was made by Walther or by a company that owns Walther, is it of the same quality and as reliable as the COMPACT version? Do any of you own the FULL SIZE and can share your experience with it.
Thanks in advance.

Have owned the full size M&P 22 pistol Shoots with no problems although I've not got the round count you stated. Have shot all of the poplar brands of ammunition and haven't found one it doesn't like.

I purchased my M&P22 full size in 2016. It has about 3000 rounds thru it so far. It likes CCI minimags and Aguila superextra. It has frequent failures to extract with Federal 22LR. I never tried any Remington ammo with it.

Due to Illinois' assault weapon ban, I had to remove my pistol and store it in another state. Apparently the threaded barrel makes this firearm extremely dangerous and unsuitable for civilians to possess in Illinois.

It is not. The ones I shot where not complete junk, but certainly not great.

I actually want a Compact version and am still kicking myself when PSA offered them in the $270-280 range back in 2019 before the panic-demic. I have a Taurus TX22 that I use for range work. After a 250 round break in, it will digest anything, including the cheap stuff. But I still want an M&P 22 Compact.
