It pays to check the pawn shops regularly.

I hadn't been to one of the pawn shops I frequent in a few weeks.
The last few weeks have been uneventful.
Not so today. Fortunately, I scored this one before it got scooped up.

It was just put out in the display within the last few days.
I saw it right away; no since acting like I was slightly interested.
I'm a regular there and they know I'm S&W addicted.

It's got a couple light lines/marks on the side plate but other than that, in great condition.
It appears to be shot very little, there was no buildup in the end of the cylinders and the barrel look clean.

I told the gal that usually helps me that the hang tag price of $899 was way out of line.
She says; you know the drill make an offer. So I counter with $525, she checks and say's she can do $550.
I said break out the 4473.

It came with box, papers, tools, but no original stocks (easy fix).

Have a 66-2 4" with the same grips, good for shootin' bad for lookin'. Enjoy the 66.

IIRC this is the second nice buy that you had this month. Didn't you get a 3" model 60? Good things come in threes!

Good luck with it.

Now that is really a score!!! I have shot my buddy's 66 snub, and really like it. I hinted about him letting it go! No dice!
I don't frequent pawn shops in my area because they usually have BEATERS. I have bought guns that were on GB, with sellers being pawn brokers. (those were nice and a good value)
I do not have a Smith revolver with less than a 4" barrel. Have a 36 coming. (my first J) Enjoy that 66! Bob

Nice find!

One of my all-time favorites! The 66 snub was my first duty gun when I began my career. Still have it... Still love it!
