Hi all, I'm looking for a set of grips for my model 29 4 screw 4 inch nickle it has a set of 1983 grips on it now would like to get a set of early ones. I'm not sure of the year it was manufactured I'm just really get to the older Smith's the serial number is S217201 if anyone has an idea when it was made.

It looks like it falls in the 1960 - 1961 range, don't forget we like pictures.

Your N frame 44 Magnum most likely shipped with N frame diamond target stocks with the larger checkered area known as "Cokes"

Do a bit of research before purchasing as their is alot of confusion out there and people often mistakenly advertise standard N diamond target stocks as Cokes .

Hold onto your hat when you start pricing them as original Cokes are pricey

Recently a set sold on eBay for $600.
The pictured pair look nice!
But I get the feeling that they don't match.
Probably not sawed from a single block of wood.
