A touch high but not outrageous at all. About 15 years ago I decided I wanted to give one another try ( previously owned a 2” square butt with major accuracy issues and the later a 4” round butt I just didn’t warm up to. It took me about 7 years to finally find a nickel square butt 2” for under $600 that is one of my favorite guns. So roughly $600 abut 8 years ago for mine

Any J-frame is a difficult revolver for unskilled shooters to shoot well; often difficult to the point of discouragement. They look neat and they are fun to shoot but far from the best revolver to learn with unless the shooter practices a lot and has the necessary discipline needed to become proficient. I'd get a K-frame revolver for beginners as they are much easier to shoot well. J-frames should come later. I'm not up on prices, but K-frame guns might be cheaper than J-frames.

Always a good buy.
