S&W Model 410

The slide stop on my S&W 410 falls out of the frame when cycling and turning the pistol at a downward angle. I can't figure out why? I have field stepped and reassembled it and it continues to fall out. Any suggestions??

The guide rod plunger is not making contact with the slide stop pin. Is the polymer guide rod plunger chewed up or flattened in any way?

Get a metal guide rod, they are much more dog proof.
