A friend is selling his brother's S&W Model 67-1. Excellent Condition, 4" barrel, SS, 38 spec. The only flaw is a Slight turn line on the cylinder. Fired very little. Pinned and recessed. Original grips plus S&W target grips. Original box and all papers. What would be a value for this S&W. Thanks for any input.

I would think $500-600 based upon your description (with the extra set of grips). Of course, all of this depends upon where you are, whether you are buying or selling, and specifics about condition and functioning (matching grips, matching box, etc.), and how much someone wants it (the Model 67 certainly has it share of followers). I am sure others will be along with other value opinions. Pictures would help.

38's were never recessed. I have a pinned 67-1 4". In excellent shape, but no box. Came with Houge grips. I got it for $275 on Gunbroker last year. I admit it was a smoking deal and the seller clearly didn't know what he had. I used the Buy it Now option.

But 500-550 sounds right for what you have.

I to recently got a 67-1 pinned and not recessed 4" with target grips, no box or papers. Found it at a LGS and paid 400 otd. I think 5 to 6 is a decent price. Good luck with your 67. Go for it, you won't regret it, great guns!!!
