Does anyone know of or have any info on the "pinto " guns ????? I found someone that says the have a 44spcl " pinto" 4" bbl . frame and cyl are blue , cyl & bbl ss/nkl . any info would be very helpful ,

I consider myself a Pinto aficionado, so I can probably answer some, if not all, of your questions. Unfortunately, you haven't supplied enough information to get a sufficient reply. Pictures and/or a serial number (from the butt of the revolver) would be a great start. As sth44 has shown, S&W shipped factory original 4" Pre-24s. I believe I've seen three including Steve's. In my experience, they will have an "N" in the ejector rod shroud and under the ejector star on the cylinder, and they will have a "B" on the frame. With surprising consistency, Pintos are sold/auctioned for twice the amount of their blued counterparts in similar condition. Above all else...
