I saw on another post about the S&W Shield (SMS) red dot on close out. A little research indicated it would work on the Hellcat with shorter screws so I ordered one. About $110 with shipping.
No box, just a bag. As indicated, it fits perfectly. And yes the included screws need to be shortened. The bag is labeled as S&W but the red dot has no markings. Came with minimal instructions, a couple of allen wrenches and a dead battery. Once the battery was changed (had some in the battery drawer) it worked great.
I'm not yet sure if I actually like it with a red dot as I do like the iron sights the hellcat came with. I'll give it a try for a while. The irons co-witness well.
I mentioned in another thread how I polished the action. I didn't change or mess with any springs or adjust the sear, etc., but now that all of the grit is gone the trigger actually seems a bit short and lite for the guns function in life. I may actually try to find some heavier springs.
