Recently purchased an NIB Model 45, 1978 production. Piece has
a small defect in metal on bottom of strap just under serial numbers. Appears to have been a small dig in metal that evidently was touched up with some cold blueing compound.
Since stocks are pristine appears to have been done at factory. Wondered if any of you other Model 45 owners have noticed
similar issues with Model 45's. Gun is pristine otherwise including
lack of turn-line on cylinder which leads me to believe came from factory w/flaw. Since parts sat around for years wondered if the "Post Office" revolvers might have had a few more factory issues than normal production guns. Thanks for your replies.
