I saw this movie, Damnation Alley, when I was a kid and remembered the other day, while cruising the forum, that there were a couple of S&Ws in it. I 'Googled' the movie and came up with a Youtube hit and thought I would put it out to the experts for a positive I.D.

In this scene, at: 2.38, the revolvers are being issued.

And here one is put to good use.
It is well visualized at: 7.24 and again, when it's is put to use at:11.05.

To my eye it looks like Peppard's gun is a model 29 4'' and Vincent's is a Model 19 4'', but hey, I am not the expert here.

I love the wild west gun play with a freshly loaded revolver. I think i saw that in the theaters as a teenager. Dang, getting old.

Holy ****...

I saw "Damnation Alley in the theater, in 70mm stereo, when I was a kid!!

Silly movie, but the man-eating cockroaches gave me nightmares until I was well into my teens...

Peppard's revolver appears to ne an N frame with stag grips. Vincent's revolver has magna grips not target, it does not have the ejector rod shroud, and it has adjustable sights so my guess is an M-15.

Did you see those two actor loading them? They didn't have a clue! I have to tell all my new student to hold with the left hand so if you drop one it will land in your hand rather than fall on the floor.

The guns looked like plain jane 19s.
