Good Morning,
Wishing all of you a blessed Sabbath and a Happy Father's Day to all the Dads and Precious Memories of the ones that are no longer with us.
When I text our Daughters, I get a kick out of ending it with "Dad." They make me proud most of the time, like me they are not perfect, but more so than I am.

I hope you had a good week, ours was a busy one. Unplanned Dental appointments, and such. If medications and related health costs weren't so much, I could afford another Smith & Wesson revolver or three. But, I can't and won't complain, I am so blessed with a wonderful family, a decent place to live and a few close friends that I treasure.

My lovely wife is feeling much better, getting stronger every day, thank God. If she feels up to it, I might get a homemade lemon pound cake after while. As Grandpa Jones used to say: "yum yum."

The mater plants are covered with tomatoes and blooms, it's become a game to see who finds and counts the most new tomatoes, between the MBH and I. Like the monkey that cut his tail off: "It won't be long now" until I will get to indulge in a tomato sandwich, and a slice of tomato in a fresh homemade biscuit. Nothing better food wise, in this world.

Ya'll enjoy your Dad today, if you don't get to visit him, at least call and tell him you love him. Mine has been gone almost 67 years, but I still miss him.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Good Sabbath Leon,

Storms here this morning. We couldn't do our walk until about 0900 hours.

Remembering my wonderful dad today. The pic is from the Korean War, circa 1952. He also served all over the Pacific during WWII.

Here's a target from our match last week. The wind was terrible at the 100 yard, cheap ammo, .22 match. I was disappointed in my overall score, but learned the wind does not discriminate and has no friends. I came in 2nd, to my complete surprise!

We traveled to Alabama last weekend to see granddaughter #4's dance recital. She is an angel!

We are blessed and highly favored here at my house! My youngest son sent me this great card too!

Yes it is about that time again and a happy father's day to all, thanks for the reminder....

and I agree, there is nothing like "stinky hands" from picking a few maters for the house, from the garden, if you are so lucky.

Those stored "Nytrogen" bombs are just not the same on a BLT.

I have one geen Ping Pon ball on a plant but our season is late compaired to you folks that have a nice early growing season.
I have a friend that lives in central florida that is slicing big red, ripe maters right now but I get even with my smoked rainbow trout.

Have a great week.

Good Morning,

Good morning to everyone and thank you, Leon, for the wish of Precious Memories of the fathers in my life. They are all passed on now, but I was lucky enough to know my dad, both grandfathers and one great-grandfather. Thanks to good living and good genes my dad made it to one day short of his 87th birthday, so I had him for a long time and he has only been gone 6 years. And now I find his words coming out of my mouth and see his image each time I look in the mirror.

The picture is of my maternal grandfather from World War I. I knew him for many years and now I have one of his shirts, a couple baseball bats he turned on his own lathe, and his number stamping set. Maybe not things of great intrinsic value, but special to me. Thanks to him I now belong to the Sons of the American Legion and the VFW Auxiliary.

Everybody enjoy today with the fathers in your life and/or your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hope everyone has had a great Father's day.

My Son, Grandson and four Great Grandchildren came for a mid afternoon lunch. Seeing the little ones and being able to be with them was all the Father's day I needed.

Anyway God's blessings to all for a great upcoming week.

On 11/22/1968 my father took his own life at the same time I was boarding an aircraft headed to Vietnam for my 13 month tour. It took me many years to come to terms with my anger and now I am still working on forgiving myself for being a lousy only son. Don't let the last conversation with your dad be an angry rant at him. Mine was and I deeply regret it, especially on fathers day.
