Good Morning,
A stormy Sunday morning, (again), in the Heart of Dixie. The first line of storms has just passed by us, and must have been really strong wind in it, the camera on one end of the house was completely out of focus because it was shaking badly. I think there is another round of thunderstorms forecast for later today, and another stormy day Wednesday.

Sadly, 5 people lost their lives Thursday, three in one family, from the tornado that swept through the state. Tremendous amount of structural damage also. A well thought of weather guy that thousands of people watch during the storm alerts, James Spann, was on the air live broadcasting, when a tornado came through his neighborhood. His wife was home alone in the storm room and was not injured, and no major damage to the house.

He turned the mike over to an assistant for about 5 minutes to find out if his wife was ok, then back on the air. I have met James and he is a great guy, one of the good guys. What you see is what you get.

The tomato plants are coming up this morning, even had one pop up during breakfast. The containers are ready, so I'm just waiting on April 15th or so to put plants out.

Lots of beautiful pictures of Smith & Wesson firearms on the board this week, along with many others. I really like the Winchester model 12 shotguns, as a kid I used to read everything I could get my hands on about them.

Speaking of reading, did you ever read "The Lower Forty" that was in Field & Stream magazine every month? Ted Trueblood was another favorite outdoor writer that I looked forward to reading, and of course, Robert C. Ruark. I loved "The Old Man And The Boy", I guess because I had no one to mentor me as a kid, since my Dad passed away just before I turn 10 years old.

Enough!!

I am thankful that all the storms passed us by, take care my friends. Gotta get dressed in a little while to go to the house of worship, and worship Him.

Hug your family today and tell them you love them.

Leon

Howdy All!

I had the 2nd Pfizer shot last Monday. It made me feel rotten thru Friday. Still sluggish today, but we had our 70 acre walk this pleasant morning.

Humidity is way up and with the warm temps, the misquotes are buzzing. Need to mow the lawn. Heavy rain this week helped rinse off the heavy pine pollen.

Praying for my neighbor as he was being deployed to Okinawa having to leave his lovely wife and three kids behind.

He had the COVID quick test as he was boarding the plane and checked positive. Now he's grounded for 14 days. He's also now sick in bed with minor flu symptoms.

Counting our blessings today. Hoping to get to the range this week if we have better weather.

Have a blessed Sabbath!

Good morning or good afternoon, depending what time zone you're in. Today is my first Sunday back in my happy home for a little while. I was up in Ohio for about two weeks helping to take care of my brother after his rotator cuff surgery. So now I'm back and taking care of things around the house. He's doing so much better than expected in his recovery that I came home a week early. My uncle and I checked in with each other already so my aunt, uncle and I are good for another day.

There's going to be a lot of doctoring this week. I'm having the appointments I had to postpone back during the winter and then I'm getting my first Pfizer shot on Friday. My brother had the same shot while I was still up in Ohio and so far he hasn't had problems with it. Since we're brothers and I'm getting the same medicine I have a lot of assurance that I shouldn't have any problem either.

Since I will be getting rid of my 35 year old microwave oven, I was looking for the manual to go with it. Somehow when I looked through my collection of owner's manuals I couldn't find it. However, I found a bunch of manuals for things I know longer owned, so I was able to toss a bunch of accumulated paper. I'm trying to keep a neater house.

There's a bunch of little things to catch up on here, so I guess I'd better get at it. Everyone have a good day and a great week.

Good Sunday Morning to all! Sure wish I could be talking about planting and skeets. Woke up to 2" of fresh snow this morning, but the good thing is that it should all melt today, but still enough already.
Plenty of clutter here that I keep talking about reducing somewhat....especially in the garage and pole barn....I swear as soon as it's a little nicer out, I'm gonna get er done.

Stay Safe....didn't get or shots yet....not sure yet about them?

Have a great day.....this is as good as it gets.

I had my 2nd shot (Moderna) six weeks ago. Functional immunity feels great!

Zero problems or side effects. I've largely returned to life as before (still masked though) - work, dining out, movie theater ... etc.

I wholeheartedly endorse getting vaccinated!

Have a great day!

You were constantly in my thoughts during the storms. Glad you came thru O.K.

I need to be on the hunt for some tomato plants for myself. Am hoping to find some German Johnson.

Anyway we also got to go to the House of Worship today. We kept two of the great Granddaughters over the weekend so they went with us. We had some rain showers around 12:30 or so but nothing else.

Everyone have a blessed and safe week.

I've seen pictures of acreages of leveled land from tornados, everything in it's wake completely gone except for the church and it's steeple.
Now, tell me there's no God!
Glad y'all are okay, we got hit hard too.
