Good Sabbath Morning to you!

It's a damp and cool Sunday morning today in the Deep South. Breakfast is finished except for a little lukewarm coffee left in the cup. My MBH did her usual great job with some bacon, eggs, and biscuits, with all the trimmings.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Chip's (Mule Packer) hunting trip photos posted already. I suspected they were in the mountains since he hadn't posted on the forum recently.

Had a fairly calm week here, a few Doctor appointments and such, prepping us for the next couple of weeks, which will be busy. I got hooked up with a new, to me, heart Doctor, since ours up and died about a year ago. Of course now I have a ream of appointments, tests, monitors, etc., etc., over the next few weeks. There must be money to be made giving tests, to verify what the previous Doc had already found.

We are having regular Worship Services again at Church today, since everybody has survived the virus, thank the Lord. I will be glad to get back in the Sunday routine of gathering at His house to worship, and seeing friends. I shouldn't say routine, since it certainly is not routine to worship Him.

Supposed to turn cool and dry about mid week, with possible lows in the 40's. A pleasant change in the weather, and a perfect time to get to the range and almost anything outside.

Speaking of range time. I had a good visit to the range last Tuesday, accompanied by some old, like me, .22's. I discovered that used prescription bottles are very wasteful. As in wasting shells trying to make them jump with the MKII's at 25 yards. It sure was fun though. I did some better with the old Marlin bolt action, that I struggle with. It has a horrible trigger, but it still shoots right where it's pointed when I shoot. :-)

Enough!!!

My ramblings seem to go on and on.

Have a blessed Sabbath Day, do something for someone that can't pay you back, besides telling them you love them.

Good Sabbath Leon,

Hot and sticky on our morning walk today. It feels like the tropics!

Chick-fil-A may be closed on Sunday, but that ole Devil doesn't take a day off! - Thought for today after watching the news.

We are giving thanks this morning and making a mental list of all the good things in our life!

I shot in our club's official 100 yard, rimfire-bench match yesterday. Every shooter had his A game going as all the scores were above average. I was pleased and shocked to find that I came in 2nd place.

Here are my best two groups.

Good afternoon everybody. I just got home from a two-day big regional bullseye pistol match that was held up at my club up above Harrisburg. It had rimfire and centerfire components each day but I only did the rimfire matches since I haven't been shooting much centerfire because of the cost and slim pickings for replacing what I shoot up. Yesterday I was using my Model 41 with the optical sight, and it seemed like when the sun was strong the red dot was getting washed out. So today I decided to go old school and got out my Model 41 with iron sights and actually had an improved score today. So it was good to know I could still shoot with the iron sights if I had to. So now I'm home watching the Browns game that I recorded while I was out. I hope it was a good day for everyone.

Leon good that you had a good week.
I was still working on removing that big maple tree stump but got it out Friday morning thanks to the John Deere.
Saturday morning I spent 4 hrs. filling in the crater with some of the rocks and dirt I dug out but will need to get another 20 yards of top soil .
I still ended picking up 5 bucket loads of rock by hand that I didn't want to put back in the hole.
This morning I told the wife let's go for a ride down to the shore so my back could get a day's rest but she had a better idea so we went to a country fair and watched some ox pull's and a few tractor pull's .
We also saw a lot of other livestock and had some good fair food for lunch so overall a relaxing day.

Don't know why I could not post yesterday....but the ability to post today is a blessing.
The garden is bountiful and supper tonight is stuffed peppers filled with venison burger, mushrooms, fresh corn, onions, cheese, brown rice and love...they will cook in a bed of fresh made salsa....I know you love the tomato dishes, and this one is delish.
Gonna watch a little football and enjoy the stuffed green peppers more!
