I love to carry my 650 loaded with 2 rounds of 22mag shotshell and 4 rounds of 22wrf. I had been using the Winchester loading of the wrf round and find it both quiet(by comparison)and accurate. At the present time, I can only find the CCI loading of this round, and I am afraid to use it. I have read that it is loaded with a slightly larger jacketed bullet that could greatly increase pressure and become unsafe. Can anyone confirm or deny this theory? I love this little J frame and want to keep it forever!

WRF is, I believe, the same diameter as the .22 Mag. (.224)

Even if it was a bit larger, it's loaded to a much lower pressure.

It would be like shooting a .38 Special, out of a .357 Mag. gun.

Exactly. The same head, rim, and body diameter. Only the length is different. You can get a twelve and a half percent increase in projectile weight with the WRF solid.
