Same polymer throughout? (SBR project)

Ok, hopefully one of these measurements, or a combination of some, are what you're after:

15-22 stripped: 4lb 2.0oz; 1872g
Empty mag: 5.6oz; 159g
Loaded mag: 8.5oz; 242g
Empty drum: 1lb 0.9oz; 480g
Loaded drum: 1lb 6.5oz; 639g
Fake can: 6.5oz; 184g
Spectre II: 7.3oz; 207g
9.5" barrel stub: 13.2oz; 373g
15-22 equipped: 5lb 1.8oz; 2320g

Stripped setup would include the stock, AFG2, MBUS and SPARC...the pieces I don't remove. The equipped would be the way I'd start shooting at the range, with a loaded mag and the Spectre II.

Mags used are standard 25rd S&W. Drum was 50rd Black Dog. Ammo was 40gr Blazer. Fake can is one I had made to match the 1"x6" dimensions of the Spectre II.

Spectre II is listed at 6.8oz, but I've put several hundred rounds through it and haven't cleaned it, yet. The barrel stub is what I cut off the factory barrel to save on shipping when I sent it to ADCO. They then cut it the rest of the way and threaded it to SiCo specs.

So is that Magpul Polymer Quad Rail considered a free float rail? What is the inside diameter? I'd like to know if a Gemtech G5-22 Suppressor would fit in there. The G5-22 has a diameter of 1.375".

Wow is if you had only a trs-25 and everything else off the gun. Im guessing it might be under 4lbs.
Awesome Cant wait for my 10" barrel!!!?

The only problem with that is if the barrel is shorter than the handguard there is no safe way to remove it to take the barrel off as you can't lock the receiver in a vise to install either the barrel or the handguard because you could break the receiver trying to tighten either one down. You need to put a set of Tacticool22's alloy vise plates on a vise to lock down the barrel to get it torqued properly. Can't do that if the barrel is inside the handguard. If you use some type of AR handguard you can get around that or you have to cut the stock one shorter than the barrel. there are a few AR handguards like the Samson Evo that has a 4" add-on section that can go on the end of the 7" carbine length one.

4.5" for the barrel. Generally accepted length to keep all bulk ammo subsonic. Going to cut the quadrail so that it's 4" longer than the barrel (meaning about 3" to remove), so that my suppressor sticks out ~1.5".

No issues with engraving the polymer as far as standards go. Has to meet the .003" depth requirement. Heck, I could do it with a dremel, but I'd like it to look a little better.

For now, I can go with the factory rail and not spend any money. Not to say I won't convert to an aftermarket product down the road. Also, this lets me specify barrel length and then cut the rail to the exact length I want. As opposed to the AR57 monolithic upper I'm doing at the same time, where the rail length is set and I just have to cut the barrel 4" shorter to that random (7.75") length.

I'm figuring the buffer tube is probably the same. Was curious about the quadrail.

What I'm after is basically the black version of the pic attached, but with factory rail.
Can't do. He is using a Troy Alpha rail which can be taken off without removing the barrel nut so he can clap the barrel in a vise with the alloy vise jaws if he needs to You can't do that with the factory rail because the nut has to be tightend with the rail on it and there would be no barrel to clamp the vise to. You can't do it by clamping the receiver in the vise. Too big a risk of breaking the receiver.
