I watched the giants all through the 60's and 70's and into the 80's with my Dad.

Bumgarten set records for most innings AND lowest ERA. Nothing against Big Bob, I saw him pitch and he was great..

In 1967 Gibson pitched 3 complete games, won all 3, had a World Series E.R.A. of 1.00, had 26 strikeouts and hit a home run to boot. He was named series MVP. Bumgarten was a machine no doubt but I wouldn't say he had a better series than Gibson
